What we collect
To connect you with a rider, Cabee collects your name, phone number, pickup and dropoff locations, and payment confirmation details (M-Pesa transaction reference, never your PIN or full card number). Riders additionally provide a vehicle type and, while online, live location so nearby jobs can find them.
How we use it
Location and contact details are used to match you with a nearby rider, share trip status between customer and rider, and confirm payment. We do not sell your data to third parties. Aggregated, de-identified trip data may be used to improve pricing and dispatch.
Payments
Payments are processed via M-Pesa. Cabee never stores your M-Pesa PIN or full card details — only a transaction reference confirming payment succeeded.
Location data
Customers share location only when requesting a pickup. Riders share live location while online so dispatch can find the nearest available rider; this stops the moment a rider goes offline.
Your rights
You can request a copy of your data or ask us to delete your account at any time by contacting us. Deleting your account removes your profile and location history; completed trip records may be retained as required for financial record-keeping.
